Privacy policy

13Clock is a clock, calendar, alarm, timer, and optional sleep log. It is made by elian.studio. This page is the privacy policy for the Android app. It is written for Google Play and for you.

What we collect

13Clock does not create an account and does not send your data to our servers. The app has no internet permission. What you enter stays in the app’s private storage on the phone:

  • Alarms you set (time, repeat days, label, dismiss task, smart-wake window)
  • Timer and stopwatch state
  • Sleep sessions you start and stop, including length and moon phase at wake
  • Optional accelerometer movement scores while sleep tracking is on
  • Settings (hour format, city for sunrise, alarm sound options, day-ring hours)
  • A local log of when alarms were scheduled and whether they fired

Sunrise and sunset use a city you pick, or a city guessed from the phone’s timezone. The app does not request location permission.

Sensors and permissions

  • Notifications — so the alarm and timer can show a full-screen ring you can dismiss.
  • Exact alarms, wake lock, full-screen intent, boot completed — so alarms survive sleep, reboot, and Doze.
  • Vibrate, turn screen on — for the ring.
  • Ignore battery optimizations — optional. You turn this on if you want fewer OEM kills overnight.
  • Foreground services — alarm/timer audio, and optional health-type service for sleep movement.
  • Accelerometer — only while you start sleep tracking. It is a movement proxy, not a medical device. You can use the app without it.

What we do not do

  • No sign-in, email, or phone number collection
  • No advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or crash reporter in this version
  • No sale of personal information
  • No sharing with other companies for their marketing

Backups

Android backup is allowed. If you use your Google account’s device backup, those local settings and logs may be copied into that backup by Android, not by a 13Clock server.

Children

13Clock is a general clock. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

  • You can delete an alarm or a sleep session in the app.
  • You can turn sleep tracking off. Movement is not recorded unless you start it.
  • Uninstalling 13Clock deletes the on-device data. A Google backup may still hold an older copy until you clear it in Android settings.
